I attempted an install with 7.9 but got the same error.

What details do you need about the Citrix environment?

Hello Joshua

Thank you for the response.

As checked in release notes, the Citrix VDI environment is not among mentioned officially tested environments for virtual machines to be used with Sentinel Runtime environment.

However, you may like to raise this concern with our support team as it might require detailed investigation.

Hello,

I have met a trouble after applying the license files(*.v2c files) whcich the vendor send us on the particular physical machine.
The messages 'Disabled due to cloning(Hardware Change)' was shown.

I have generated fingerprint files(*.c2v files) on the same 10 machines and sent to the vendor for generating the license file(*.v2c files).
I did not change hardware such as CPU, memory and ssd since I bought the machines, but above message was shown on only 2 machines.
(Another 8 machines was applied the v2c file correctly.)

OS:CentOS7.4(64bit)
Hardware:Intel NUC(BOXNUC7i5BNH)

Best regards,

Hi Kim,

Your application vendor should be able to help you with this issue.

Please collect a fresh C2V from the problematic machine and share it with the application vendor to check with hardware parameters are detected as changed.

Ashish

Hi Ashish,

I sent  the request to the application vendor, but it may take several days.

I am hurrying a lot.
Can I check the c2v file myself which hardware parameters are detected as changed?

Best regards,

Hi Kim,

The C2V has some vendor specific information and can be decoded on vendor side only.
Unfortunately, the only option is to wait for the vendor.

Ashish

Dear User,

Thanks for raising the concern.

It seems that the Sentinel Runtime drivers were not installed during the Sentinel LDK installation. The error message suggests some machine restriction that is interrupting the driver installation.

Hence, please check by temporarily disabling the system security software (such as antivirus, firewall rules etc) that may conflict till the time installation is completed.

If this doesn't help then please raise this issue with support team at https://supportportal.gemalto.com/csm/ for detailed investigation.

License generation api modifies the execution count incorrectly

Dear support,

We are using the license generation api to modify the execution count of hardware keys.
However when we apply the v2c to the hardware key it increments incorrectly.
consider the following situation:

I feed the following xml:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

      <sentinel_ldk:license schema_version="1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:sentinel_ldk="http://www.safenet-inc.com/sentinelldk">

            <enforcement_type>HL</enforcement_type>

            <product>

                  <id>123</id>

                  <name>Sample Product 123</name>

                  <feature>

                        <id>10</id>

                        <name>executions</name>

                        <license_properties>

                              <!-- "sub" action will reduce the number of days from the base expiration date -->

                              <execution_count action="add">1</execution_count>

                              <concurrency>

                                      <count>Unlimited</count>

                                      <count_criteria>Per Station</count_criteria>

                                      <network_access>Yes</network_access>

                              </concurrency>

                              <remote_desktop_access>Yes</remote_desktop_access>

                        </license_properties>

                  </feature>

            </product>

      </sentinel_ldk:license>

I get a v2c, however the v2c adds 2 to the execution count instead of one.

If I set it to 4 it will add 8 so it doubles up..

Dear Customer,

Thanks for writing in !

The shared XML code looks valid and shall add value 1 to the execution count specified in the base license.

This would require detailed investigation. Could you please get in touch with us via Gemalto Support Portal https://supportportal.gemalto.com/csm/ or send us an email on technical.support@gemalto.com ?

HASP driver not working after updating to Windows 10 (1809)

The issue has been reported by one of our customer. He deployed our product (which uses HASP for licensing) on a new Win 10 machine. Our product was working as expected, accessing license information just fine, until customer ran Windows Update which applied multiple security patches and performed also a Windows feature update (to 1809). From this moment, our product was not able to access license information anymore. It was like the windows update uninstalled the driver.

Fortunately, we ask our customer to reinstall the HASP driver which fixed the issue. Also, our QA team has been able to reproduce the issue by first installing our product on a clean Win10 (1607) then performing only a feature update to 1809.

Usually, our customer does not perform Windows feature update on their production server, but we would like to have a more definite way to address this than putting in our knowledge base the need to repair the driver installation when the issue appears. Is this a known issue with HASP driver? And if so, is it something already fixed or that will be fixed in a future version?

Information about the HASP runtime we are using:
License Manager Version15.0 Build 36539
Run-time Installer    6.60
Run-time Package    6.60
hardlock.sys    3.83
fridge_lib    1.8
aksdf.sys    1.51
aksfridge.sys    1.68

Dear User,

Thank you for reporting the concern.

From the mentioned details, it appears that the license manager being used is quite old version. It is recommended to up keep the run-time drivers upgraded for using it with the new platforms.

Hence, please download the latest GUI driver update from our service portal using below details  and then install the same to confirm us if the problem still persists.

Search for the KB article at KB0018320 to get the download notice.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for writing in !

It is not recommended to manually remove the v2c file from the mentioned directory. The suggested workflow is to create a cancellation product in Sentinel EMS (in case you are an ISV), generate the license update and apply on the required machine.

For any further query, please feel free to reach us through Gemalto Support Portal https://supportportal.gemalto.com/csm/ or send an email at technical.support@gemalto.com.

Thank You,
