Hi Richard,

Hope you are keeping well.

Kindly download the Runtime driver for Mac machine again from given link " http://sentinelcustomer.safenet-inc.com/DownloadNotice.aspx?dID=8589945156 ". If it is not working then download from " http://we.tl/GYswCSmMnm ".

Also I would request you to please update the firmware of your HL key from 2.x to 3.x. Please follow the given instructions:

1- Open Admin Control Center (ACC) " http://localhost:1947/_int_/checkin.html ".
2- Plug-in your HL key and disconnect all other keys.
3- Browse attached V2C " http://we.tl/3mru4NwmId " file and click on Apply file.

Please let me know if you faced any issue.

Thank You,
Anubhav

batch code DEMOMA uninstall ?

Hi,

Is there any possibility of uninstall the Batch Code DEMOMA in the EMS ? For me it just can be hidden.

I didn't need anymore to see those examples, I need a simpler and more readable interface without having to switch between batch code (when possible).

Thanks !

Fabrice

Hi Fabrice,

Hope you are keeping well.

DEMOMA is a default batch code for Sentinel LDK-EMS. We are not able to un-install this from LDK.

Thank You,
Anubhav

Hi Gaurav,

Thanks for your fast reply. We have perpetual licenses. Does this mean they are not affected by any problems with the HASP battery?

Thanks,

Dario

Thanks for your answer.

Due to the fact it is possible NOT to install DEMOMA batch code while installing EMS, I am surprised we can't uninstall that stuff.

But now, is it possible just to hide those datas ? Or to set my Master batch code as my default ?

Thanks

Hi Dario,

In case of perpetual license, your application should not be affected if there is any problem in battery of Sentinel Time and NetTime key.

Thank you,

Hi Fabrice,

Thank you for reply,

We recommend to use DEMOMA batch code for testing purpose and on the production machine you can install LDK-EMS without Demo data.

Once the LDK is installed, we are not able to hide the Demo data and set any specific batch code as default.

Anubhav

Greetings Fabrice,

If you had installed LDK EMS via the "Express" option, the DEMOMA data gets populated into the database.

Alternatively, you could have installed it using the "Advanced" option (provided that you had already created a SQL database instance and knew the 'sa' credentials for it), and choose to not install the DEMOMA data.

If you already have the DEMOMA data in your database, and no longer wish to view/access it via the EMS portal, then it is suggested that you create a new EMS User (not 'admin' username as that is the Super User), and select it to only be able to access your vendor-specific Batch Code along with Batch Code Admin role. This can then be used to log into EMS, and only show the Batch Code you want to.

Thank you,
Gemalto Support

Re : How to detect and list Hasp 4 / Hasp HL key

Dear Customer,

Hope you are keeping well.

If we want to list the connected keys (Hasp HL) then we use Getinfo API from Runtime (Licensing) API's. Please share the use case for using License generation API's.

Do you have different hasp4 keys with different Vendor ids or both hasp4 and hasp hl keys with different batch code?

Also are you facing this issue on single machine or multiple.

Thank You,
Anubhav

Re : How to detect and list Hasp 4 / Hasp HL key

Hello
I will explain my use case :
I send to my customers a tools to update licencing on key.
My customers can have Hasp 4 or Hasp HL key to update (with or without same VendorID)
Example :
 - 2 Hasp 4 key with VendorID 1
 - 1 Hasp HL key with VendorID 1
 - 1 Hasp HL key with VendorID 2

I use Hasp 4 API to detect all Hasp (4 and HL) Key connected and get all Hasp ID.
So with VendorID and Hasp ID, I can login with Hasp HL API to a particulary key to update.
If HaspHL login fail, I know that it's not a Hasp HL key and I use Hasp 4 API to write licencing to the key.

Now, start with Hasp drivers 7.x :
 - If you connect keys to the computer and launch my update tools, It's work.
 - If you have keys already connected to the computer, REBOOT and launch my update tools, It's doen't work anymore. The Hasp 4 API return no one or only one key connected to the computer.

To reproduce, you can do :
 - connect 2 or 3 keys on the computer and execute hasp(LOCALHASP_ISHASP, 0, 0, 0, 0, &p1, &nNbUsb, &p3, &p4)
>>> nNbUsb = 3
 - reboot the computer with key connected and execute hasp(LOCALHASP_ISHASP, 0, 0, 0, 0, &p1, &nNbUsb, &p3,  &p4)
>>> nNbUsb = 0 or 1

Getinfo API need more info to use it (ip/port/password) and don't show Hasp4 key or Hasp HL with 2.16 firmware so I can't use it.

Envelope c++ apps and .pdb file

Hello

There is any way to add to the enveloped program the .pdb link.
I use crash dump but with Enveloped application, Visual Studio 2008 can't show me execution stack because it can't load .pdb

The .pdb file is generated by the compilation of my application.
The envelope change exe configuration but remove the link of the pdb file.

So crash dump send by customers will be unusable.

Thanks
David

I have send you a executable with source and explication to reproduce the bug.
The bug seem to be, not in IDHASP but in HASPSTATUS service of Hasp 4 emulation.

sntl_admin_context_new_scope How login Master Key local only

Hi, I used sntl_admin_context_new_scope to  check if the Sentinel Master Key is present and all works fine. The problem is that this function check the presence of the master key in all of my network like a Sentinel Net key. What I want is check is the Master key in connected to the local pc, where I run my program.

My snippet to check the master key:

  1. const char *pScopeMaster =  "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\" ?>"
  2.    "<haspscope>"
  3.    "<host>localhost</host>"
  4.    "</haspscope>";

  5. sntl_admin_status_t status_admin;
  6. status_admin = sntl_admin_context_new_scope(&pContext, pScopeMaster);

status_admin is ever "SNTL_ADMIN_STATUS_OK", if I use this snippet in a PC without a local master key connected but with a master key connected to the network...

Any idea?

Dear Giordano,

Please use the following code sequence:
  1. sntl_admin_status_t status;
  2. sntl_admin_context_t *context = NULL;
  3. const char* hostname = "localhost";
  4. const char* password = "";
  5. sntl_admin_u16_t port = 1947;
  6. status = sntl_admin_context_new( &context, hostname, port, password);

  7. const char* scope =
  8. "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\" ?>"
  9. "<haspscope>"
  10. " <hasp id=\"xxxxxxxxxxxxx\" />"     //here xxxxxxxxxxx is the key id of your master key
  11. "</haspscope>";

  12. const char* format =
  13. "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\" ?>"
  14. "<admin>"
  15. " <hasp>"
  16. " <element name=\"typename\" />"
  17. " <element name=\"islocal\" />"
  18. " </hasp>"
  19. "</admin>";

  20. char* info = 0;

  21. status = sntl_admin_get( context, scope, format, &info);

Now you can check the value of <islocal> tag in the XML returned in "info".

If the key is local then its value will be 1, otherwise it will be 0.

Hope this solves your purpose.

Thanks,

Ashish

Hi, Anubhav

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, the machine type is different between  my customer  and me, but  for the moment,  I have no other machine to check whether  this is a machine specific issue.  I would like to know whether the driver should be UsbbHID or not .

Following is the details of my key in Admin Control Center.
