Dear valued customer,

Product & Feature name are not written into the Sentinel HL key licensing Memory.

Further more to Parth update, here are the several ways the product / feature names are "shared" with the ACC.

a) on ISV/EMS machine:
when you Burn a HL Key on your system, the Sentinel LDK License Manager (hasplms.exe) creates and/or update the file "lic_names.dat" located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Aladdin Shared\HASP\
it adds the product & features names (that were contained in your EMS Entitlement) and associate it to the keyID.

b) on EndUser/customer machine:
when you send your customer a ".V2C" (HL key update), the Sentinel LDK License Manager (hasplms.exe) creates and/or update the file "lic_names.dat" located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Aladdin Shared\HASP\
it adds the product & features names (that were contained in your .V2C update) and associate it to the keyID.

PS: Same thing happens if you apply the ".V2C" update to your test "HL keys" on your "ISV side".

PPS: You can open the "lic_names.dat" with Notepad/Notepad++ to display its content, but please do not modify it, this is an "internally generated file".

c) if you are whiling to provide your product & features names to your customers even if they do not receive a ".V2C" update :

step 1- on ISV/EMS machine:
You will have to use Sentinel EMS to export your catalog definitions.

See Link below for instructions:
http://sentinelldk.safenet-inc.com/LDKdocs/WebHelp/ExportDef.htm

Export File Type as "Metadata in Admin Control Center format".
File generated is: <VendoID>.xml

step 2- on EndUser/customer machine:
You can use the ACC and go to:
http://localhost:1947/_int_/checkin.html
To apply your <VendoID>.xml file shared with your customer.

Else you can use the "LDK Licensing API" (hasp_Update) to do the same.

The file will be installed in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Aladdin Shared\HASP\vendors\

I hope this answers your question.

Regards,
Olivier
