Actually I may understand why Vendor Code could be exposed to 'anyone'. As I said, I could generate licences with the ToolBox easily, however I missed to mention that I used DEMO code...
I tried the same with my own batch and the licensing API screamed for my Master key. So here is what I have come to understand:

I tried the same with my own batch and the licensing API screamed for my Master key. So here is what I have come to understand:
- Lic API needs Master key (besides *.hvc) to generate licences which process only happens on a dedicated machine with restricted access
- Hasp API, on the other hand, can do licence updates without Master key, it only need Vendor Code to log in.
So basically knowing Vendor Code does not give the ability to overcome security measures, but better keep it safe anyway...
If somebody confirmed my theory, I would be pleased.
