Sentinel HASP Key for fail-over server setup

Hi,

I am using a accounting software that using Sentinel HASP software key for licensing, we are looking into the possibility make the software run on a HA environment, but according to the accounting software vendor, we will need to purchase another set of Sentinel HASP software key for the secondary server, which can be pretty pricey.

Is there a better solution to this?

I am thinking of putting 2 servers both running Hyper-V, and run the accounting software, together with the HASP software key in a VM. We will then use fail-over / replication software like Evidian (https://www.evidian.com) to replicate the VM from main to standby server. Will this work?
