Old libraries be face problems in accessing the key but shouldn't cause any issue in key detection in device manager/Admin Control Center.
Please check and share the following details-
- "USB 1.02" is this the firmware of the key?
- Are you able to see the key in Admin Control Center on Windows 2008 R2 machine? Does it show three entries in device manager?
- Open Admin Control Center page and place the pointer where the key is shown. This should show some additional information about the key hardware. Share the screenhsot.
- Disconnect the key from Windows 2016 machine and uninstall the drivers using command line installer (haspdinst.exe). Open CMD with admin rights and execute this command: haspdinst.exe -purge
- Now install again with the following command: haspdinst.exe -i
- Check if it works fine
